Knoxville Wholesale Granite, LLC receives countertop inquiries that people send to its own Facebook Page, Knoxville Wholesale Granite.
Information we receive
When someone messages the Page or comments on a Page post, Meta sends that event to the sales assistant. The assistant stores:
- the message or comment text
- the Facebook page-scoped id for that person on that channel
- the time of the event
- contact details the person types, such as a name, phone number, email address, or project description
A Messenger conversation and a Facebook comment are stored separately. The same numeric id on both channels is not treated as one person.
The assistant does not ask Meta for a person’s email address, gender, locale, or time zone. It does not request the Business Asset User Profile feature.
Why we use it
The assistant records the inquiry, filters obvious spam, and qualifies a possible countertop lead for the sales team. Qualification uses what the person wrote. A salesperson prepares any estimate.
The assistant may use these published business facts: phone 865-233-6383, website https://knoxvillewholesalegranite.com/, and the showroom in Maryville. The offer is a free countertop consultation and custom measurement. The assistant may provide general information about available materials, starting prices, financing, deposits, installation timelines, and warranty policies. Any project-specific estimate or final commitment requires confirmation by Knoxville Wholesale Granite, LLC.
Obvious spam is quarantined. A quarantined item is kept for review and is not turned into a customer lead.
Email notices to the business
When the business has turned email notices on, a lead notice is sent from chatbotkwg@gmail.com to leads@knoxvillewholesalegranite.com. That feature is off. No customer notice is sent while it remains off. The business does not sell inquiry information.
Where it is stored
The live records are in a private database on a server hosted by Oracle Cloud in the Ashburn region. Encrypted backup copies are kept on that server, on a private Mac used by the business, and in a private Oracle Object Storage bucket. The Object Storage backup process keeps the newest 14 encrypted files. Oracle also has a boot-volume backup of the server. These copies are not public.
How long it is kept
Live inquiry records stay until the business deletes them on request. There is no fixed automatic deletion schedule for those live records. Deleting a live record does not immediately erase encrypted backups. Older backup copies remain until the business removes them or the backup program rotates them out.
How to ask for deletion
Call 865-233-6383 or use https://knoxvillewholesalegranite.com/contact/ and ask for the Facebook inquiry to be deleted. The public contact page lists the showroom at 113 Nicole Ct, Maryville, TN 37801.
Deletion is manual. The business matches the request to one record by hand. The match uses the conversation the person can describe, the contact details they typed, and the page-scoped id stored with that record. A Messenger record and a comment record are not combined. If more than one record could match, nothing is deleted until the match is unique. Deleting that live database record does not immediately delete older backup copies. Those copies remain until the business removes them or they rotate out.
Who else processes it
- Meta Platforms delivers the message or comment and the page-scoped id.
- Oracle Cloud hosts the assistant and the private encrypted backups.
- Google provides the mailbox chatbotkwg@gmail.com. Google processes a lead notice only when the business has turned email notices on.
